A City of Adventure
Straddling the mighty Nambi River, Sharkam lives in two worlds: the lush land of plenty that surrounds the river, and the Viljaran Desert that this oasis cuts through. A big city of trade and intrigue, villains stalk its streets, and heroes rise to protect it.
Swords of Sharkam is a collection of short stories that I’m writing about this incredible city and the heroic people that live there. In each story, someone rises up to challenge an evil that threatens the city or its inhabitants. Each character has their own motivations and abilities, but they are all compelling!
Read about an assassin who takes a job to kill a sorceress and rescue a maiden. Or a woman with a secret ability and hunts the darkened streets to exact vengeance upon those who prey upon the weak. Follow the adventures of a mercenary who seeks the men that attacked his caravan.
Each of these stories will be submitted to magazines. I’ll list them here as they become available. Eventually, they will be collected and published in a complete anthology.
The Snake of Sharkam
The first story in the Swords of Sharkam series, The Snake of Sharkam follows the assassin Tamuk as he takes a job to rescue a young woman from the clutches of an evil sorceress. It’s a Sword & Sorcery story in the vein of Conan the Barbarian, with plenty of action, suspense, and violence.
