When Brad was only nine, his older brother shoved a copy of The Hobbit into his little hands. That was the beginning of a lifelong love affair with the fantasy genre. He devoured as many novels as he could, with The Lord of the Rings as his clear favorite.

He began writing in fifth grade and has been writing fantasy ever since, though he hadn’t tried to get published until much more recently. Still, he lived and breathed the genre, building a small collection of swords, wands, Renaissance faire garb, and other such items. He worked at a renn faire in his twenties, and he never lost the playful spirit. He immersed himself in fantasy novels and movies his entire life.

Brad is an avid tabletop gamer. He started playing Dungeons & Dragons back in 1976 before the game was even released in book form. He has been a “always GM” running games in D&D and other RPGs throughout his life. Brad still plays the game now, running a D&D campaign with friends and his son, Edward.

Brad has three published Urban Fantasy novels and has two Sword & Sorcery short stories published in Savage Realms Monthly magazine. He has several more novels in the works, including a second installment in his Simon Kane series, a high fantasy novel taking place in a fantasy version of our world, a fantasy romance, and a sword & sorcery novel.
